Building... |
The model is produced and distributed by Phil Ramsey Models, the kit comes complete with fibre glass fusealge, foam wings, sheeted tailplane, pre-made cabane strutts and interplane strutts, canopy, cowl, undercarriage, and a bag of accessories.
The model is relatively quick and easy to build, this one took 20 hours to complete with most of the time spent on the finishing. The only tricky part was drilling the wings to take the countersunk bolt holders which allow the bolts to fix into the interplane and cabane strutts. These must be drilled at the corrent angle so they mate with the strutts correctly.
Sorting the positioning at the fuselage end of the cabane strutts was easy as the holes are premarked for drilling on the fuselage as are the holes for the undercarriage.
As always the cowl had to be trimmed so that it fitted around the zenoah 23, although the model is recommended for 90 2-stroke or 120 4-stroke, the zenoah 23 i used is also an option.

Finishing... |
The model is based on a full size which is featured on Phil Ramseys promotional video, the registration is PP-PUP. The Pepsi colour scheme was an easy one to acheive with the decals being made by a local sign writing firm.
